A dog walker was attacked by a hooded man in a park.

The 30-year-old man was targeted in Dunfermline in Fife on Sunday morning.

Police said victim was approached by the man on a footpath in Dulloch Park before being attacked by him.

The assault occurred in Dulloch Park around 10.15am.

Detective constable Alasdair Young said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area around that time.

"We're particularly keen to speak to a couple who spoke to the victim shortly after the incident."

The suspect is described as being around 5ft 8in with brown stubble. He was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.
