A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man in Edinburgh.

David Geddes, 41, made a brief appearance in private before sheriff James Scott at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

No plea was made and the case was continued for further inquiry. Geddes was remanded in custody.

His appearance in court follows the death of 35-year old Jaymie Hall at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary last Saturday evening.

Mr Hall was found seriously injured in Dumbryden Gardens at 9.25 pm.
