A schoolboy has been injured after being shot by an airgun in woods.

The attack happened in Calais Woods in Dunfermline.

A 14-year-old boy spoke to two men who were shooting pellets at tin cans.

The men shot the boy on both legs while he was walking away, resulting in pellets having to be medically removed following the attack on Tuesday, June 6.

The first man, in his 30s, is described as being white, of a stocky build and approximately 5ft 10in.

He is said to have short dark hair, a grey beard and was wearing a camouflage jacket.

The second man, in his early 20s, is described as being white, around 5ft 10in and was also wearing camouflage clothing.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
