A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held into the death of a man in police custody.

Lee Martin, from Bo'ness, was arrested after a disturbance in Falkirk town centre on July 11 last year.

He was brought to the town's police station but was not charged with a crime.

The 24-year-old fell ill shortly after and was taken to Forth Valley Hospital, where he died three days later.

A postmortem found he had taken a combination of drugs, including ecstasy.

The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner carried out an inquiry into his death on behalf of the Crown, which has decided not to bring any charges.

However, a Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held to attempt to establish the events which led to Mr Martin's death.
