Two women have been seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in East Lothian.

The collision happened on A1 at the junction with the A1087 near Dunbar at around 1.50pm on Saturday when a VW Transporter collided with a Vauxhall car.

A third Seat car was also involved in the crash.

The women remain in hospital but are expected to make a full recovery.

One lane of the southbound carriageway remained closed for more than four hours.

A 22-year-old will be reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses.
