Pupils were evacuated from a school in East Lothian after a fire broke out.

The fire was reported in Dunbar Grammar School's lobby area on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were called out and used a high pressure hose and breathing gear to tackle the blaze.

They were able to bring the fire under control around 9.45am.

A fire service spokeswoman said: "The fire was in the ground floor lobby and toilets area."

A spokeswoman for East Lothian Council said pupils and staff were evacuated before being given the all clear and allowed back in after 10am.

The school has a roll of around 850 pupils.

Police and the fire service are now investigating the cause of the blaze.
