A man who went missing in East Lothian has been found safe and well, police have said.

Concerns were raised for the welfare of James Young, 30, after he was last seen near the village of Gifford on Friday morning.

Police Scotland had asked people travelling in the area to keep an eye out for him.

The force announced Mr Young, from Edinburgh, was found safe and well near Gifford around 11.15am on Saturday.

A spokesman said: "The public are thanked for their assistance with this appeal."
