A man has been accused of killing a woman by dangerous driving near a B&M store.

Linda Dunn was allegedly struck by a car in Leven, Fife, at the Riverside Retail Park.

The 68-year-old from Methil was pronounced dead at the scene at 3.45pm on Sunday.

Gregg Anderson, 26, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court in connection with the incident.

Anderson has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing death while driving while unlicensed or uninsured.

He faces further charges of dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, failing to identify the driver of the vehicle when required to do so and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Anderson made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.

Tiegan Curruthers also appeared in the court, where she faced five charges on petition.

She has been accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice, causing or permitting another to drive without a licence, causing or permitting another to drive without insurance, failing to identify the driver of a vehicle when required to do so and attempted fraud.

Curruthers also made no plea and her case was continued for further examination.

Both have been released on bail.

Ms Dunn's family said: "Linda will be sadly missed by her family and friends and we respectfully ask for privacy at this time."
