The wife of Scottish tennis star Sir Andy Murray has given birth to their second daughter.

The couple, who married in 2015, already have a daughter, Sophia, who was born last year.

The news emerged on Wednesday following Murray's exhibition match at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

The Dunblane-born tennis star played Swiss rival Roger Federer in front of 11,000 fans.

The two-time Wimbledon champion Murray has not played competitively since this year's tournament.

However, he hopes to compete in the Brisbane International, which starts on December 31.

The couple announced Kim's pregnancy in July and their second child is understood to have been born in England in the last week.

On Wednesday, Sir Andy's grandmother Shirley Erskine said: "All the family is delighted."
