A Scots hairdresser has been found guilty of deliberately trying to infect men with HIV.

Daryll Rowe from Edinburgh met his victims on social networking platform Grindr.

The 27-year-old committed the offences in Brighton, East Sussex, and the north east of England between October 2015 and December last year.

Rowe was convicted of five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and five counts of attempting to do so on Wednesday afternoon at Lewes Crown Court.

The jury of seven women and five men returned its verdicts after 18 hours of deliberating.

Judge Christine Henson adjourned sentencing until January 2018.
