Police have issued a CCTV image to the public in an effort to find a man who has been missing in Fife for five days.

Henry Davidson, 59, was reported missing after he was seen leaving an address in Lismore Avenue, Kirkcaldy, at around 9am on Tuesday.

Police have now released a sighting on CCTV of Mr Davidson leaving a Travelodge hotel in Bank Head Park, Glenrothes, at around 8am on Wednesday.

He then travelled to the Kingdom Shopping Centre in the town where he reportedly spoke to a member of the public.

Officers have no further confirmed sightings of the 59-year-old and are concerned for his wellbeing.

Mr Davidson is described as a white man of stocky build, around 5ft 11in and with short black hair which is balding.

He may also have facial hair and has his right ear pierced, although he but does not always wear an earring. He was wearing a black jacket, t-shirt, blue jeans and white Fila trainers and carrying a bag.

Inspector Gordon Anderson of Kirkcaldy Police Station said: "We continue to be extremely concerned for his welfare.

"We have issued a new picture of Henry leaving Glenrothes Travelodge in the hope that this image will jog the memories of those in the local area.

"I would again ask anyone who has seen Henry, or recognises his description, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"Any small piece of information may be the key to tracing Henry."

Those with information regarding Henry's whereabouts are asked to contact officers at Levenmouth Police Station on 101, quoting incident number 4105 of November 15.
