A Christmas tree dumped on the M8 caused a hazard for motorists.
The festive decoration was left on the eastbound carriageway of the road on Wednesday.
Traffic Scotland warned drivers to steer clear while it arranged to have the tree removed.
The hazard at Junction 4 near Whitburn, West Lothian, was cleared away at around 10.45am.
Christmas trees should traditionally be taken down by January 6, the official end of the festive season.
