A man has been arrested after a robbery at a Shell garage in Kirkcaldy.

The 26-year-old stole a three-figure sum of money from the petrol station on Hendry Road at around 1am on Sunday morning.

No one was injured during the incident but police are continuing their investigations.

It is believed no one else is involved.

Detective Chief Inspector Scott Cunningham said: "Our enquiries are continuing and we would urge anyone who may have information to come forward.

"Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 quoting reference 257 of 11/02 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous."
