Police are growing concerned for a woman who has not been seen since Thursday afternoon.

Paula Lunam was last seen leaving her home in Hardie Terrace, East Lothian, at around 4.40pm on Thursday.

The 39-year-old has not been in contact with friends or family since then.

Ms Lunam is described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, with a very slight build and long blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a green tartan coat, multi-coloured hat and white and pink floral wellies.

Inspector Helen Miller said: "Given the extremely cold weather and the time that has passed since Ms Lunam was last seen we are keen to locate her as soon as possible.

"Anyone who knows her current whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.

"I would also urge Ms Lunam to get in touch to let us know she is safe."
