A rail line in East Lothian has been blocked by overhanging snowdrifts for two days.

The line near North Berwick has been disrupted since services resumed on Monday.

Network Rail said the snowdrifts were overhanging the railway cutting, where the tracks run below ground level.

The snowdrifts are very unstable and could potentially fall and block trains.

Engineers have been working to clear the snow and hope to plough and reopen the line later on Wednesday.

Services from Edinburgh have been terminating at Drem while the tracks have been blocked.
