Police are hunting for a man who made sexually abusive comments towards a woman on a train.

The incident took place on board a train between Edinburgh Waverley and Bathgate between 6.20am and 6.45am on Friday, May 4.

British Transport Police (BTP) said the victim was targeted with sexually explicit verbal abuse by the man, who is thought to be in his 20s.

She was "extremely alarmed and concerned" by his behaviour.

The suspect, who was travelling with another man in his 20s, left the train at Bathgate.

He spoke with a West Lothian accent and wore a navy blue hoody and white trainers.
