A pizza delivery driver was robbed at knifepoint by a group of youths.

The 32-year-old was targeted in Dalkeith, Midlothian around 2.45am on Sunday.

He was leaving an address in Woodburn Street when he was approached by the youths and threatened with a knife.

A two-figure sum of money was stolen from him.

Police say the suspect had a local accent and was part of a larger group.

Detective constable Kim Wilson from Dalkeith CID said: "This was a shocking experience for the man, who was thankfully uninjured, and we're working to trace this group as soon as possible.

"As part of our enquiries, we're asking anyone in the local community who may have seen a group matching this description in the area, or who has any information which may be relevant, to contact us."
