Traffic on the M90 is at a standstill after a BMW caught fire.

Two fire engines rushed to the M90 between Halbeath and Kelty in Fife at 6.30pm

No one is thought to be injured, but the silver BMW has been significantly damaged.

The M90 northbound is closed between junction three and four, and traffic is at a standstill back to junction three.

A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "At around 6.30pm we received several calls to a BMW on fire o the M90.

"Two appliances were sent to the scene.

"No one is thought to be injured."
