Tesco stores cordoned off after three overnight raids
Police are trying to identify those responsible for break-ins at three stores.
Police are investigating after three separate Tesco stores were broken into in the early hours of Monday.
In less than two hours cash was stolen during raids on stores in Falkirk, Camelon and the petrol station in Bathgate.
The break-ins took place between 12.15am and 2am at Tesco stores in Blackburn Road, Bathgate; Glasgow Road, Camelon; and the Central retail park in Falkirk.
Officers are currently trying to identify those responsible.
Detective Inspector Paul Batten from Livingston CID said: "We believe the Tesco in Bathgate was targeted first before those responsible headed into the Camelon and Falkirk areas.
"As part of this investigation we are working closesly with our colleagues in Forth Valley to identify the suspects and we would urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity around Blackburn Road during the early hours of Monday morning to contact police immediately."
A spokesman for Tesco said: "We are fully supporting the police with their investigations.
"Many thanks to our customers and colleagues for their understanding as we quickly returned to normal service."
