Tens of thousands of Scottish Independence supporters are marching through Edinburgh.

The All Under One Banner event has been hailed as the biggest yet.

Starting at Johnston Terrace and ending at Holyrood park the march kicked off at 1pm on Saturday.

The route will also take in Lawn Market, High street, Canon Gate and Queens Drive.

Leading up the event All Under One Banner said they anticipated the march to be "the biggest and boldest demonstration for Independence in Scotland's History."

Twitter user @lyndilou attended the event and captioned a picture showing thousands lining the streets with: "So there is no appetite apparently".

Catalans for Yes posted a video simply stating 'Wow'.

Phantom Power said: "We're going to need a bigger city".

Early estimates suggest that at least 50,000 people are taking part in the march, however a more accurate estimation will be released by Police Scotland when the event comes to an end.
