Several police officers in riot vans have swarmed onto a street in Grangemouth as they deal with an ongoing incident.

As many as 12 police vans have reportedly been in attendance at Kersiebank Avenue since the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services attended after being called to scene at around 5am and officers say they are working to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called to an address at Kersiebank Avenue, Grangemouth, following reports of concern for a man at around 5am on Sunday morning.

"We are working to bring this incident to a safe conclusion."

A major police presence remains at the scene and there are not yet any further details on the nature of the incident.
