Pupil 'stabbed teacher in neck with sharpened pencil'
The 15-year-old boy has been charged with assaulting a female teacher in Fife.
A 15-year-old schoolboy has been charged with stabbing a female teacher in the neck with a sharpened pencil.
The fourth-year pupil has been reported to a children's panel after allegedly attacking and embedding the pencil into the left side of the woman's neck in front of a full classroom in Fife last month.
The teacher was left with minor injuries and is said to be recovering following the incident on September 25.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Fife have charged a 15-year-old boy with the assault of a female teacher.
"A report has been submitted to the children's reporter."
