A 15-year-old boy has been arrested following a masked Halloween raid on a store in Edinburgh.

Police were called to the Margiotta food store on Comiston Road at around 9.50pm on Wednesday after an armed male threatened staff with a knife before making off with a three-figure sum of cash.

The suspect was said to be disguised in skeleton mask, a black catsuit with black gloves.

Officers confirmed they have arrested and charged a teenager following the incident.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and children's reporter.
