Tributes have been paid to an "amazing" teenager who was killed in a double fatal crash.

Connor Aird died in hospital after the smash on the A915 Standing Stane Road between Kirkcaldy and Methilhill in Fife.

The 17-year-old was pronounced dead in Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, on Friday night.

His friend, Ethan King, 18, who was also a passenger in the black Vauxhall Corsa, died earlier this week following the crash, which happened on Sunday morning.

Speaking to STV News, Mr Aird's friend Rosie Walker described him as someone who always put a smile on everyone's faces.

She said: "Connor was the happiest boy I've ever met and was always full of energy.

"He never failed to put a smile on everyone's faces.

"He was loved by everyone and will always hold a special place in my heart.

"Connor is one in a million and is nothing short of an absolutely amazing boy, he will never be forgotten.

"Sleep tight Connor, love you with all my heart."

Another 18-year-old man was seriously injured and remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Officers arrested a man following the crash.

A friend added: "Just away to say my last good byes to wee Connor Aird.

"You will be missed bro. You were there for each other till the end through thick and thin.

"You will be sadly missed boys, god love you."

Hundreds of devastated friends and loved ones are to gather on Kirkcaldy Promenade on Saturday night to pay tribute to the teenagers.

Another friend said: "Can't believe it. Rest easy both of yous Ethan King and Connor Aird."
