Two men are being sought after a serious assault in Edinburgh.

A 20-year-old man suffered a broken nose in the attack, which happened at 2am on Sunday, September 9, on North Bridge.

A second 20-year-old male victim was also punched on the face, knocking him unconscious.

Police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to trace, who are believed to be able to assist with the investigation.

Both men are white and are around 20-years-old.

The first man is 5ft 10in, slim and has dark hair. He was wearing a black bomber jacket, a grey polo shirt, black trousers and white trainers.

The second man is 6ft, slim, and has short brown hair. He was wearing a white long-sleeved t-shirt, dark trousers and dark trainers.

Constable Alexander Spence said: "We are eager to trace the men pictured as we believe they can assist with enquiries and would urge anyone who may recognise either of them to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
