The family of a missing woman are growing concerned for her wellbeing.

Rodel Nicol was last seen in the Randolphfield area of Stirling at around 2pm on Thursday.

Since then, the 40-year-old has not returned home or been in contact with any family or friends and concern is now growing for her welfare.

Ms Nicol, who was carrying a dark rucksack, has links to the Parkside Court area of Plean.

Police are appealing for anyone with information as to her whereabouts to come forward.

Inspector Anton Stephenson said: "Given the length of time since Rodel was last seen, we are eager to locate her as soon as possible to ensure she is alright.

"Anyone who believes they have seen her since Thursday afternoon, or knows where she currently is, should contact police immediately.

"I would also ask that Rodel get in touch to confirm with us that she is safe."
