Man discovered dead in Edinburgh street prompts police inquiry
A white tent has been erected and forensic officers are combing the area after the discovery.
A man has been found dead in a street in Edinburgh.
The body of the man was discovered in Fernieside Drive in the Moredun area of the city just before 8.30am on Friday.
Officers are treating the death as unexplained and an investigation has been launched.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Edinburgh are investigating after a man's body was found in the street at Fernieside Drive at around 8.25am on Friday 27th December.
"Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and the man's death is currently being treated as unexplained."
