Fifty Shades of Grey is neck-and-neck with Pixels, Jupiter Ascending and Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 with the most nominations at this year's 36th Golden Raspberry Awards.

The films share six nods each at the awards - better known as the Razzies - including for the Worst Picture gong.

Each film also has a star nominated in the Worst Actor category for their leads:

Flop superhero movie The Fantastic Four - also up for Worst Remake, Screen Combo and Screenplay awards - is the final Worst Movie nominee.

However, despite strong competition it is likely that Fifty Shades of Grey will sweep the boards.

Other notable Razzie nominees are:

The British actor might be a dead-cert for a Best Actor at the Academy Awards this year, but his Oscar may well share his mantelpiece thanks to his performance in Jupiter Ascending.

Depp receives a tongue-in-cheek nomination for worst screen combination for caper Mortdecai.

Other Oscar-winning Golden Raspberry nominees include Gwyneth Paltrow for Mortdecai and Julianne Moore for Seventh Son.

The Razzie Redeemer award, going to the actor deeded to have had the greatest turnaround after a previous Razzie win, is between Elizabeth Banks, Will Smith, director M Night Shyamalan and Sylvester Stallone - whose movie Creed has offered the chance to atone for a career that has earned him the title All-Time Razzie Champ.

The Razzies mark the lesser offerings from the world of cinema, usually ignored by the Golden Globes and the Oscars.

Past 'winners' including Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock have attended in person to claim their gold spray-painted prizes, which are worth a modest £3.40.

Launched in 1980 as a spoof of Hollywood's awards season, the winners of the 36th annual Razzies will aptly be announced in Hollywood on 27 February - the night before the Oscars.
