Veteran broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan is set to be remembered this weekend as the BBC airs a special Songs Of Praise tribute show in his honour.

Sir Terry, who died of cancer on Sunday at the age of 77, was a well known figure on TV and radio and famously hosted the Eurovision Song Contest and the Children in Need fundraisers for many years.

Sunday's Songs of Praise special will see presenter Aled Jones take a trip to Northern Ireland to visit Sir Terry's friend and former 'Wake Up To Wogan' contributor Father Brian D'Arcy who will share his personal memories of the star.

Father D'Arcy will also share his story of the last time he saw his friend, saying: "I wasn't sure if it was goodbye, but as soon as I saw Terry I knew it was the last time I was going to see him, and the shake hands was the last shake hands I'd ever have with him."

The programme will also feature video footage of Jones and Sir Terry's duet of Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth, which was released as a Children In Need Christmas charity single in 2008.
