New mum Suranne Jones has said she is "very happy with her lot" after picking up a Bafta two months after giving birth.

The star took home the leading actress gong for her role in BBC drama Dr Foster.

Speaking after her win, she said she couldn't believe the year she was having.

"If someone had told me I would have had a husband, a baby and a Bafta in 2016, I would not have believed them. I'm very happy with my lot."

Suranne gave birth to a baby boy in March - her first child with husband Laurence Akers.

But so far the couple have managed to keep their little one's name a secret.
