The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to bring T in the Park to a close after sets from artists including James Bay, Faithless and Chase & Status.

Thousands descended on the Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire on Friday for the three-day event, which featured some of music's top acts.

Fans have already enjoyed performances from last night's headline act Calvin Harris, and other big names including The Stone Roses, The 1975 and Jess Glynne.

Organisers hailed the "good spirits" of crowds on Saturday despite heavy rainfall which turned the Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire into a mud pit.

Festival director Geoff Ellis said: "Despite a bit of rain, the crowds are in good spirits and enjoying a great day of music."

On Saturday festival-goers were urged to dump their drugs in special amnesty bins set up at the site following follows the deaths of two teenagers at this year's event.

The 17-year-olds were named locally as Peter MacCallum from Lochgilphead, Argyll, and Megan Bell from the north of England.

Police are looking at the possibility that the deaths were drug-related.

Meanwhile, police have appealed for information after a cash machine was stolen from the festival's main arena sometime between midnight on Thursday and 7am on Friday.

The ATM contained a "significant" amount of cash, officers said, as they asked any witnesses to come forward. However, as Police Scotland conducted their search a Twitter page called T In The Park ATM was set up by pranksters.

The description of the account reads: "I'm lost somewhere in Perthshire. A couple of blokes abducted me last night and stuck me in a tent." The page has only been active for a couple of days but has already posted a series of funny updates.

On Saturday, DJ Calvin Harris delighted fans with a hit-filled headline set at the main stage. The Scottish favourite performed popular tracks including Feel So Close, I Need Your Love and Summer.

British rapper Dizzee Rascal joined Harris half way through the set to perform their new collaboration Hype.

Later on Sunday night, the Red Hot Chili Peppers headline the main stage to bring proceedings at T in the Park to a close.

The festival is now in its second year at the Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire following a move from Balado in 2015.
