Scotland's biggest weekend of the summer is over.

T in the Park's filth-encrusted, party-addled masses are deserting the site and crawling slowly back into reality (via their beds/the pub).

It has been a typically ridiculous weekend of controversy, Buckfast and pushing the boundaries of what constitutes a bed.

But as is customary, the Scots crowd has not let us down on social media, with Scottish Twitter entertaining and informing those of us who chose to spend the weekend not standing in a pool of (at best) mud listening to the latest tune of Calvin Harris' iTunes shuffle at a cost of £205.

As usual, the level of ingenuity and guile on show was remarkable.

And the official T in the Park account wasn't in the mood for any rubbish.

The dance moves were of a typically high calibre both on and offstage.

While rumours swirled around the site as to which special guests would take the the stage.

Frightened Rabbit won the competition for best onstage patter.

The weather was also on the bam up.

But the biggest mystery of the weekend was how the hell someone stole a cash machine from inside the arena?!

Obviously it got its own Twitter account within hours. And the best joke of the weekend.

As for the music, there we're mixed reviews of returning (again) Scottish hero Calvin Harris.

But he got most onside by finishing his set with GBX classic Bits N Pieces instead.

The last night's headliners were the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This guy absolutely loved them/ Clearly a massive fan.

After they'd rounded off the festival with a flourish all that was left for the weekend's revellers was to pick up the pieces and troop off home to recover. Same again next year though!
