Scots DJ Calvin Harris is the world's 21st highest-paid celebrity, according to the Forbes celebrity rich list.

The 32-year-old star, from Dumfries, raked in £51.2m in earnings in 2016, although he fell four places from his 17th place in last year's list.

He was joined on the list by TV chef Gordon Ramsay, who clocked in at 34th on the list, with earnings of £43.9m.

The new Forbes list was topped by Harris' ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, who earned £138.2m, followed by boy band One Direction, who despite the departure in 2015 of Zayn Malik still earned £89.4m last year.

Singer Adele came in 9th on the list, taking in £65.4m in 2016.

Tennis stars Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Kei Nishikori all made the list but recently knighted world number one Sir Andy Murray did not have the honour of joining the list.
