US pop star Katy Perry is coming to Scotland next summer as part of her 2018 worldwide tour.

The singer has announced a Hydro gig on her Witness tour, with tickets for the show on June 24, 2018, going on sale next Friday.

Her new album, also called Witness, will be released on the same day tickets for her live shows are released.

The 32-year-old announced the European leg of her tour this morning to her 99 million Twitter followers, saying: "HELLO, HALLO, CIAO, BONJOUR! I can't wait to you, UK/Europe!"

Perry will also play London, Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle on the UK leg of her tour.

She will also be in the UK this weekend to join Ariana Grande and a string of other big stars including Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Coldplay for the One Love Manchester benefit gig.

Perry is lined up to play the Saturday night at Glastonbury later this month, taking to the stage before The National and Foo Fighters.

Her Witness tour starts in Columbus, Ohio, on July 7, with the European leg kicking off in the German city of Cologne on May 23 next year.
