Saturday Day tickets for the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow have sold out, promoters have announced.

DF concerts said two- and three-day tickets were still available for the event this weekend.

Taking place in Glasgow Green, the festival will see thousands of music lovers descend on the city to see performances from the likes of Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro.

Geoff Ellis, DF's chief executive, said: 'We are delighted that Saturday day tickets have sold out in this the first year of TRSNMT.

"We still have limited capacity for Saturday and want to ensure that the music fans that want to attend the full festival or enjoy two days of music have the opportunity to do that.

"The reaction so far to the line up and the event has been fantastic and ticket sales have totally exceeded expectations and we can't wait to welcome the first wave of festival goers tomorrow for what will be an exceptional headline performance from Radiohead."

Earlier this week it was revealed that armed police officers will be on duty at Glasgow Green all weekend.

Police Scotland said the deployment was "standard in crowded places given the current security level".

People attending TRNSMT should expect to be searched as they enter the festival and bags larger than 30cm by 42cm are banned.
