Scottish singer Gerry Cinnamon has sold out his live show in the Barrowlands.

Tickets for the concert went on sale on Friday morning and sold out only a few hours later.

The musician from Castlemilk in Glasgow announced the Barrowlands gig at the launch of his debut album on Thursday night.

The album Erratic Cinematic shot to the top of the iTunes download charts on the morning of its release.

Hundreds packed into Saint Lukes in Glasgow on Thursday for a sold-out performance by the up and coming star at the launch night.

His performance at this year's TRNSMT festival was widely hailed as one of the event's highlights.

The songwriter has also performed at T in the Park in 2015 and 2016 and supported acts such as Ocean Colour Scene and Cast on their live tours.

On Thursday morning, he posted a screenshot of the singer/songwriter album chart showing his album at number one with the caption: "Numero Uno, Absolute canter x."
