Oasis fans could be given the opportunity to star alongside Liam Gallagher in his new music video.

The 45-year-old will be shooting the video in the city next month and is looking for local fans to take part.

Gallagher, who has recently launched a solo career, posted an application on his official website advertising the position.

His first solo-album As You Were shot to the top of the album charts on its release earlier this month and he will also be playing a sellout gig at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow in December.

After making his name alongside his brother Noel with Oasis and hit albums such as Definitely Maybe and What's The Story Morning Glory in the 1990s he became one of the best known singers in the UK.

The Britpop band split up in 2009 after the brothers had fallen out during their world tour.

After a brief spell in new band Beady Eye, the Mancunian has returned with solo material.

Applications to appear in the video, which will be shot in Glasgow on Monday, November 6, from 4pm to 12am will close on October 31.

Chosen applicants will be required to make their own way to the shoot.
