Tom Jones, Rag'n'Bone Man, Paloma Faith and Kasabian have been announced as the first headliners for a new festival in Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens.

The Edinburgh Summer Sessions will take place at the Ross Bandstand during the Fringe in August.

The event is being run by T in the Park organisers DF Concerts as an Edinburgh version of the Glasgow Summer Sessions.

Tom Jones will perform on Monday, August 6, singing hits from his 50 years in the music industry.

The Welsh superstar last performed in Edinburgh four years ago, at the Edinburgh Castle esplanade.

Rag'n'Bone Man, also known as Rory Graham, is returning to the city on Tuesday, August 14 after headlining the Hogamanay festival.

The 33-year-old singer, best known for his single Human, brought in the new year in front of thousands.

Paloma Faith will take to the stage on Tuesday, August 17.

During 2017, she scored her first number one album and was nominated for Best Female at the Brit Awards this month.

Leicester four-piece rock band Kasabian will perform on Saturday, August 18, after a career spanning more than 20 years.
