Nicki Minaj is set to land in Glasgow amid her next global tour.

The songstress announced on Monday she would hit the road with hip hop star Future on the 'NICKIHNDRXX Tour' next year.

While Scottish dates have yet to be confirmed, it is understood the star could arrive at the city's SSE Hydro in March.

It follows her 2015 performance at the Clydeside arena during The Pinkprint Tour.

Tickets go on sale on June 15.

She announced on social media: "I can't wait to see you all on the NICKIHNDRXX TOUR with @1future! Presale starts 6/12 at 10am local time. Public on sale 6/15."

She later added: "#NickiHndrxxTour US/Europe.

"Not done announcing dates for the rest of the world yet y'all."

The news comes two months before the release of her latest album Queen, due out on August 10.

Minaj branded the record as her "greatest work to date".
