Scottish synth-pop band Chvrches have announced a Glasgow date as part of their new UK tour.

The trio are returning to their hometown to play at the SSE Hydro in the middle of their eight-night tour.

The Love Is Dead tour starts in London on February 7, 2019, and ends in Dublin on February 21.

Scottish fans will get a taste of their new album at the SSE Hydro on February 16.

This will be the third time the trio have visited Glasgow in only a couple of months, as they held an exclusive signing event at HMV Glasgow Argyle Street in May, and played at TRNSMT festival earlier this month.

The band's new music is making waves, with the first single from the album Miracle premiered as Annie Mac's Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1.

The band kicked off their album tour in Toronto in May, and they have spent the summer doing intimate gigs as well as appearing at festivals like Primavera, Parklife and Citadel Festival.

Tickets go on sale on July 20 at 9am.
