Little Mix and Westlife have both announced Glasgow dates as part of their upcoming tours.

Westlife will bring The Twenty Tour to the Hydro on June 3 next year.

Breaking the news on social media, the band said: "The wait is over."

The announcement comes after band members Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne teased a UK tour earlier this month.

Sharing his excitement on Twitter, Mark said: "So excited to be back with the lads and going on tour next year to perform for you all. Here's to our 20th anniversary, see you soon!"

The announcement has delighted fans who have been waiting seven years for the band to tour again.

However, many will be disappointed that former band member Brian McFadden will not be on the tour after his relationship with the boys broke down.

Little Mix have also announced Glasgow dates as part of their 2019 UK tour.

The band are set to perform their LM5 show at the Hydro on October 18 and 19, 2019.

The Black Magic hitmakers Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson, broke the news to fans on social media.

"SO happy to say we're going back on tour across the UK!"

The upcoming tour follows hot on the heels of the release of Little Mix's latest single, Nicki Minaj collaboration track Woman Like Me, with their subsequent fifth studio album LM5 due out in November.

The foursome shared their excitement for their new album on Twitter on Monday and revealed they had dedicated the record's name to their fans.

"We love how you've named each of our eras over the years. So we've decided to call our next album... #LM5,' they wrote to their 11.7 million followers.

"We've worked so hard on this, we are so proud & can honestly say this is our favourite album to date."
