Sir Elton John has announced four Scottish dates as part of his farewell tour.

The Rocket Man singer, 71, is set to perform shows in Glasgow and Aberdeen for his Farewell Yellow Brick Tour in 2020.

He will perform at The Event Complex (TECA) in Aberdeen on November 20 and 21 and will then take to the stage at Glasgow's SSE Hydro for November 24 and 25.

Speaking ahead of the tour, Sir Elton said: "The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will take us to many places that have meant a lot to me over the last 50 years, but these UK shows will be incredibly special.

"The UK is home, and where my heart will always be.

"To celebrate some of the incredible moments we've shared with my British fans over the years will be wonderful.

"These homecoming shows will be very emotional, and a lot of fun."

The music legend performed a stadium show in Airdrie as part of his UK tour last year.

He performed at the Excelsior Stadium in the North Lanarkshire town on June 24.

Tickets for The Farewell Yellow Brick Tour will go on sale on Thursday, November 15 at 10am.
