Kylie Minogue adds second night at Edinburgh Castle
Due to huge demand the pop queen has added an extra date at the landmark.
Kylie Minogue has added an extra date at Edinburgh Castle as part of her upcoming tour.
The Australian chart-topper announced a series of special shows on Tuesday, including a visit to the Scottish capital for the first time since 1991 on Sunday, July 14 next year.
However, due to high demand for tickets Kylie has added an extra date to perform at the landmark.
The pop queen will now also hit the city on Monday, July 15.
She announced the news to fans on Twitter and wrote: "Lovers, we've added an extra #KylieSummer2019 show in Edinburgh, on sale now!"
Mark Mackie, director of Castle Concerts, said: "We are delighted to have Kylie play Edinburgh Castle this summer.
"Without doubt, she is a true global superstar and voice of a generation, the atmosphere will be truly electrifying."
Next summer's shows will see Kylie performing a series of career-spanning hits from her unparalleled back catalogue.
Kylie's latest album, Golden, was released earlier this year via BMG Records. It debuted at Number 1 in the UK Albums Chart and is her sixth Number 1 album to date.
It has spent 20 weeks on the UK album charts and is the best-selling 2018 release by an international female artist.
Nick Finnigan, executive manager at Edinburgh Castle, added: "Kylie Minogue's famous pop songs are sure to appeal to a wide audience and we look forward to hosting her next year when Edinburgh Castle once again transforms into the city's premier entertainment venue, with its stunning stage and unrivalled backdrop."
