Billy Connolly tours 'breathtaking' Scotland in new show
The one-hour special for STV will look back at the last 25 years of Connolly's career.
Billy Connolly's career has taken him to almost every corner of the world.
Twenty five years ago he started documenting his travels on camera and this Christmas, he'll share the footage in an intimate documentary to air on STV.
"It was exactly 25 years ago that I found myself taking the cameras out of the theatres and into the world" he said.
"It's a journey that's taken me to far flung places and offered up once-in-a-lifetime experiences and I'm still discovering thrilling new stuff around every corner now I've pitched up in Florida."
"Surprises are around every corner" in the one-hour special, as Connolly tours his new home state of Florida in a convertible classic car, goes fishing on the salt flats, tracks crocodiles and samples "weird and wonderful" food in bars and restaurants.
He also remembers highlights from tours to countries including Scotland and shares the areas he treasures most in his homeland.
"The parts of Scotland I'll take you to are some of the most breathtaking in the world" he said.
"I've been to some magical places, met some wonderful people and had a great time - so relax, get yourself some space on the couch, open up the popcorn and get ready.
"Welcome to the ultimate world tour."
Billy Connolly's Ultimate World Tour airs on Thursday December 13.
