Lewis Capaldi announces second Glasgow show after sell-out
Pre-sale tickets to the singer's first Hydro date sold out in under a minute on Wednesday.
Lewis Capaldi has announced a second date at Glasgow's SSE Hydro after pre-sale tickets for the first show sold out in under a minute.
The Scots singer, who rocketed to fame earlier this year with number one single Someone You Loved, will hit the road next March on his first arena tour in support of upcoming debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.
On Wednesday, Capaldi took to Twitter to announce a second Scottish date and told fans that those who ordered his album from his website before 6pm would receive a pre-sale code to use for the gig.
The second day of pre-sale tickets will open at 9am on Thursday.
In celebration of the sell-out, the singer also announced that he had two pairs of tickets to giveaway for the first Hydro date - all fans had to do was retweet and like his second-date announcement.
As well as performing at the Hydro, Capaldi will also play at the Apollo in Manchester, the 3Arena in Dublin, the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, and London's Wembley Arena.
Some of the ticket proceeds will go towards an anxiety email hotline for those hoping to attend.
The Livelive initiative will fund teams who will be trained in assisting with panic, anxiety or any other concerns fans may have.
They will meet fans at the door, escort them to their seats and help those who want to leave quickly to avoid crowds.
Capaldi, who suffers from anxiety and has cut gigs short after experiencing panic attacks, said he wanted to have more people who suffer anxiety at his shows.
He said: "I always get tonnes of messages from people online who have said they want to come to my shows but can't because they're struggling massively with anxiety or are just generally afraid they will have a panic attack during the show.
"I really wanted to put something in place to help those people feel comfortable and offer them support to allow them to experience the shows."
