Welcome to Scotland from the Roadside, a weekly gallery showcasing some of the best images from around the country taken by you.

From opportune moments shot on smartphones to breathtaking landscapes captured in high definition, each week we share a selection of interesting pictures taken by people on their travels around Scotland.

We have partnered up with the Scotland from the Roadside Facebook group, a popular destination for trading photos and stories, which has drawn in more than 120,000 members.

Each week, we ask the page's creators, Bruce Philip and Linda Curran, to select their favourite images shared on the page over the past seven days.

From misty sunsets over moorland to enchanted woodland walks, take a look at these stunning shots.

"I am a regular visitor to Scotland and like to catch her through the different seasons," says Darren.

"This was taken at the height of autumn and the light was changing quickly and this felt like a split second glimpse into an enchanted world."

"I have an Italian friend who just loves our benches and seats," says James.

"I was working and delivering locally and when I saw the bench with the boats and houses beyond I had to take the picture to share with her."

A country scene by Nicol Nicolson‎

"The little hamlet of Bentpath (known locally as "Benty") sits about five miles north of Langholm in Dumfriesshire," says Nicol.

"It's always a picturesque spot but it was on particularly sparkling form on Monday at about midday when the low winter sun was hitting its Victorian church and surrounding buildings, as sheep grazed in the foreground."

Kenmore by Ryan Nicol‎

"It was taken at the Kenmore club in Aberfeldy," says Ryan. "We are staying here a few nights before heading to Glencoe.

"Me and my fiance and daughter were taking a walk and came across it. I just got a new camera and had to give it a try - I took a few shots before getting this one."

New Slains Castle by Ryan Winterburn

"It would have to be credited to my son Ryan who is a keen drone photographer and is aged 16," says Darren.

"He has his own Facebook page - phantom photography - where he likes to share his work. Our family live in Aberdeen and visit local landmarks most weekends which inspires Ryan to try for a different view from the norm, so can make it his own."

"I was visiting the area on a clear and cold morning," says Ross. "I just liked the shot."

Loch na Creige by Don Sinclair

"I took the photo when on a small post-New Year break to the Dunkeld area with my wife Dawn," says Don.

"We took a drive further inland towards the Aberfeldy area and chanced upon this frozen loch on the way.

"The surrounding snow laden trees, stark hillside and the texture of the windswept ice on the surface was just spectacular.

"Speaking to some locals, they talked of open air curling taking place regularly in the past on these iced up lochs. A beautiful area, but more special in the snow..."

Eaglesham Moor by Marian Roy

"I took this photo locally, at Whitelee Windfarm on the Eaglesham Moor," says Marian.

"It was Boxing Day when my daughter and I escaped out for a bit with the cameras.

"The low lying mist caught my eye initially but as the sun was setting, the light through the mist was amazing to watch and try and capture and in the eerie silence of the area, it just completed the look and feel for the place."

The Break of Day by Stuart Waugh

"I was recently photographing the area and decided to watch a sunrise from Beinn Dubh, looking South east over Luss and down the Loch," says Stuart.

"This photograph was taken in the minutes before the sun appeared over the horizon."
