Adventurer cycles length of the Outer Hebrides in one day
Mark Beaumont took part in 185-mile challenge to launch a new cycle route in the isles.
Adventurer Mark Beaumont has completed an attempt to cycle the length of the Outer Hebrides in just 24 hours.
Beaumont - who has previously cycled round the world - undertook the challenge to mark the launch of the Hebridean Way Cycling Route.
His 185 mile route ran from Vatersay to the Butt of Lewis.
It took in ten islands, six causeways and two crossings following the National Cycle Network Route.
Organisers hope his efforts will help boost tourism in the area.
