A man who vanished in Inverness has been found more than 100 miles from home in Aberdeen.

Charles Jarret, from Dingwall, Ross-shire, was last seen in the Raigmore area of the Highland capital on Wednesday.

Police say the 53-year-old has been traced safe and well in Aberdeen and thank the public for their help.

A spokesman said: "Charles Jarret, who was reported missing from Dingwall, has been traced safe and well in the Aberdeen area.

"Members of the public and the media are thanked for their assistance."
