The A9 was closed in both directions after a crash involving a lorry and a car.

The collision happened near the Pass of Drumochter south of Dalwhinnie at around 3pm on Wednesday.

Nobody was injured in the crash and the road partially reopened shortly before 5.30pm.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The collision involving a car and a lorry happened at around 2.55pm.

"The male drivers of both vehicles involved have been taken to Raigmore Hospital with injuries which are not thought to be life threatening."
