Two men have been charged over pyrotechnics being thrown on to the pitch of a Scottish Premiership match last month.

Smoke generators made their way on to the turf at the Global Energy Stadium in the Ross County v Inverness Caledonian Thistle game on April 28.

A 20-year-old man from Inverness and a 22-year-old man from Aviemore have been charged in relation to the incident.

A 16-year-old male, also from Inverness, was also charged after seats were damaged in the North Stand at the stadium in Dingwall.

The trio are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday, June 1.

Match commander inspector Alasdair Macleod said: "The vast majority of fans behave appropriately and we continue to work with our partners to ensure the games can be enjoyed in a safe environment.

"Disorder of any kind will not be tolerated and those who choose to behave in this way will be dealt with robustly."
